Question AC Question

My buddy has a 98 gs4 and he is having problems with his AC. When he turns on the AC, the air is cold, but sometimes, nothing blows. When he drives on the freeway, if he lets fresh air in the vents, it somehow kicks the system to start blowing air, and from then on, if he closes the fresh air, his system is running fine. Any inputs?

Dying or dirty blower? Perhaps air rushing in through the vents is enough to get it moving, and once it's moving it's fine.

It'd be worth taking the blower out for a look-see.

If it does not blow any air out of the vents then it probably has something to do with the air blower.
