Haha that's funny.
I wonder what other cars you drive. But seriously, if you set to ECT power, the lag is not that bad. I drive in ECT power 100% of the time.
Today I rev'd to 6000 rpm redline to embarrass some stupid *** dodge truck driver. That guy was revving at traffic light next to me. In a few seconds I couldn't see him except in my rearview mirror. LOL

Well, it depends on the setting. The new gen sprint booster has 3 settings: green, yellow and red.
At the red setting, some guys on the BMW forum reported that it is like constant racing and braking, which is certainly unsafe in tight quarters.
Green is like stock and yellow is in the middle. One has to be mindful of the setting and learns to control the throttle appropriate for the setting.
Granted, all stock setting (throttle programming) is probably more biased toward conservative/safe side for liability reasons - still remember the Toyota unintended acceleration outcry?
Guess what, the final investigation result showed that it is mostly driver's fault, and no fault was found in toyota's electronic control system. Toyoya's big downfall was slow to respond to public complaints to address the issue, even though they were right. It is all about perception.

So really, this unit only adds 2 additional settings to the way the car is now. Doesn't the Blitz have a lot more? 3 plus stock?
Does this unit have memory or do you need to turn it on each time you start the engine?
What about reverse? How does that work? Is there a reverse shut off?

To clarify what this product does, you really just need to look at the graphs in the advertisements (this product and the Blitz unit).
With and with out the unit, the car roughly goes 0 - 60 in 6 seconds.
but (and I am just making these numbers up to explain how it works), at various speeds as you accelerate to 60, without the booster (on the left) and with the booster (on the right) it will take the car more or less time to reach those speeds:
0-10 2s /1s
0- 30 3s/2.5s
30-60 6s/6s
So the booster gets rid of the lag AND (and this is important) it also gets rid of the sudden burst of acceleration that normally comes right after the lag - these 2 things it does just evens things out so that is why there is no increase in perfomance (well, there is when you first hit the pedal) It just makes the acceleration more uniform from 0-60.

you well like the improvement in response. I have the bletz Throttle Control and it makes a lot of deference. the car jumps once I press the paddle when I put it on mode 3
let up know when you are done installing.
Note: installing the bletz Throttle Control was little hard. especially the screen where i could not find a place to put other than the cigerret ashtray

Haha, your car is not parked outside, I hope.
Anyway, you will enjoy it. As I know many BMW drivers have it and love it.
I am waiting for the price to drop to $100 before buying. That's how much it is worth IMO.

hi guys
just installed my Sprint Booster, took me 1/2 hr and i had a stroke, thats how hard it was. i'm keeping it in the red light setting ( sport ). i was test driving to get the feel, very nice. best thing the lag is gone. money well spent. shifts better hole different car.
