I dont drive either of my cars in ECT one of the service techs told me that excessive use of the ECT or Snow option on any Lexus will speed up the death of the tranny. Mind you this was when we brought in the old 94 ES300 in with a bad tranny which we had driven in ECT for the last 70k miles or so (car had around 150k miles on it at that point).
