Default Problem With Nav - Need help!

I tried to install my NavTool and backup camera today. When finished, I started the car and opened the Nav. The screen displayed the Lexus logo, then went blank. I decided to remove the NavTool and see if it still worked, but had the same results. The Nav door opens, the screen displays the Lexus logo and then goes blank. I ejected the DVD and re-inserted it to assure myself the player had power, no change. Help!

Habious, YOU'RE A GENIUS! Worked like a charm. Heart attack receding now. I've never had to do that before to get a display. Learned something new. Thanks so much for the quick reply.

BTW, my DVD has a box on top that I didn't see on related recent posts. Anyone know what sits on top of my DVD?

Here's the picture of the label.

Also, notice my NavTool is in a black box rather than the red. I thought the seller had sent me a knockoff, but they said they had lost their supply from Japan of the red cases due to the earthquake. Who would have guessed the ripple effect.

The little silver box on top of the DVD drive is the controller for the tail-lights. This is the thing that some folks switch out when they upgrade to the 06+ LED tail-lights.

The bigger box (labeled "Mark Levinson"), is the 5-channel audio amp.

Glad I could help. I've been down that exact road before. Going "Why doesn't it work!!?? I didn't do anything wrong!!"

You unplugged the power to the nav system so, it's basically "off" when you turn the car on the next time. Hitting the "Map/Voice" button turns it back on.

No, as Talwang said it's the amplifier for the Navigation System Voice. (From Sewell's part number search: 8601124011 Lexus OEM Navigation Amplifier 8603861310D 86011W)

The tail lamps are controlled from inside the luggage compartment junction box. That box is black in color and to the far left of the car, outside of the existing photos in this thread.

Default Navigation just stopped working!!

My navigation was working fine one day then the next i started the car and nothing happened , door didnt open no lexus logo , none of the navi buttons worked just dead. I took it to the damn stealership thinking they would know something. Oh my god was i wrong i paid them 250 dollars and wasted 4 hours of my life so some tech can tell me something i already knew.
He said that he has no idea why it doesnt work and he didnt have any remarks on what i should do. Wow great service you bastards!!!!. Told me that MAYBE i needed a new navi brain and it was 8000 dollars. I laughed in his face and told him to put it back in and i will take care of it no thanks. Then he said that even if i do get a new unit it might not even work because that might no even be the problem. Plus he never checked inside the trunk to check the gps amplifer!!! So i un plugged the battery and unplugged the dvd in the trunk , im going to let it sit all night and plug everything up in the morning im thinking maybe the computer will reset itself.
I've never had a problem with the navi it always worked great and there was no warning what so ever it just failed on me. I checked the tv /navigation fuse in the side kick panel. They were ok but at the dealer he said that the fuses were in the wrong place and they were to powerful i had a 25 fuse were a 5 fuse should be , so they were mix matched. Im thinking that fried the unit but how come the navi buttons dont work on the ac controls? How come i cant open the door? Im worried if i buy a used navi computer on ebay and put it in it still wont fix it. Can anyone give me some input i'de be so thankful. I need a sc430 GURU!
