Default LEDs Keep Burning Out

I have had quite the on going headache with LED bulbs burning out in both the headlight markers and the rear license plate. I have tried 168 and 194, using multiple different styles/brands but they never last more than a couple of weeks at most.

What I'm I missing? Is it some kind of wattage? This happens to both driver and passenger side headlight markers as well as the license plate bulbs. Strangely though, I do have LED bulbs through out the interior and I have never had a problem with them.

Thanks in advance!

I use LED daytime running lights from iJDMtoy with no problems, although I only installed them about a month ago. I'm a big fan of SMD LEDs.

EDIT: I no longer recommend iJDMtoy, you're better off buying a cheap brand on eBay. They are the same exact lights. iJDMtoy aren't quality made after I bought some and saw that they don't work out of the package

what kind of LED's did you get? where are you buying them? the old cheap LED's are crap. what you want is the newer style SMD LED's. you'll notice on the new ones they'll have a yellow (idk what its called) that emits the light. they tend to last longer and are a lot brighter. more expensive. but worth it

Thanks for the responses, no I haven't tried the smd lights yet. I just ordered 4 on ebay so hopefully that'll do the trick.

+1 on iJDMtoy-i've used them for years on several cars not just Lexus and they seem to sell top quality LED's.
