Where can I purchase license plate bulbs that are the same as the led bulbs on the newer Lexus cars? Does anyone else use these for their older models?? they seem to be a perfect color and not to bright
License plate lights commonly use 194 bulbs. I'd recommend the Philips Blue Vision 194 T10 W5W LED Replacement Bulbs. They are bright and come as a pair. Colorwise they are rated at 6000K like most LED's so will give a cool white look.
I got these from XenonDepot...same as the link above...
These Philips 194/168/T10 LEDs are super bright!!! It was no comparison to my ebay set. I think it pumped out twice as much lumens. In terms of color, they were really white.
Philips LEDs...
Both Philips LEDs...and the 9006 LEDs in my fogs...
Here are the same LEDs in my passenger side rear license plates...really bright white...compared to my old LEDs from ebay...lol.
Both Philips 194/168/T10 LEDs in the trunk bar for my rear license plates...its super bright back there....lol.
Ooh, I'm glad I found this thread. I always liked the look of the LED trunk lights. I actually want to run white DRLs on my '04 ES, but the bulb is actually the high-beam on low voltage, so I'll have to come up with another idea.
I really like the Philips you posted. The pictures look excellent!

If your looking to upgrade your DRL, you can either get LED bulbs with a Canbus so they work as DRL. Doing this will reduce the light output of your high beam though. Another option is to get a halogen with better color.
any 168 LED bulb in 6000k will be a pure white color , no blue
We offer a few different 6000K 168/194 bulbs! We test the color temperature of our bulbs in-house, so you won't have any blueish output with our cool white bulbs. You can check them out below! If you decide to purchase, be sure to shoot us a DM for our free shipping code!
