Default What piece is this?

I want to order a replacement. Can anyone tell me what piece this is called? Its under the car hanging down, and seems to protect some sort of wires. Id also like to know what size screws it uses as it looks like i need to purchase new ones

It is the rear lower brace. part# 52298-24010 on the LH side or part# 52297-24010 on the RH side.
You also need four bolts (part# 90119-08B27) in the front section and two bolts (part# 91511K0845) in the rear section for that brace piece.

Double check the part# with your Lexus dealer before you place your order.

Hmm, I didnt know what a rear lower brace was so I looked it up. http://carsontuned.com/product/?id=360

Its not like that. Its not metal. Its just a oval plastic piece, about 4 inches wide and a foot or so long. It seems like the only purpose of it is to protect the wires underneath the car. It is held on by only 2 screws. So Im not sure its the same... does that sound right to you?

I think Talwang is right - that you need the brace. Yes, you need the plastic cover, too, but the brace looks bent to me.
Could be its intended shape or the camera angle and it's not bent, or whatever busted the plastic cover bent the brace, too.

Hmm, Thanks guys. How would when im driving I tell if its bent or not? Then is 52298 the plastic piece? Or metal brace?

I looked it up at http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/compone...1-02-4426.html
It couldn't be 100 bucks just for a plastic piece could it?

EASILY could be $100- for that piece. If you have a local Lexus dealer you frequent, just ask one of the mechanics if they'll take a peek underneath your car and they should be able to tell if the brace is bent or not. Good luck.

I might be mislead by your pics at that angle.
If it is a plastic piece, then it must be something else.
Brace pieces are metal, not plastic for sure.

so those are the pics of the plastic piece that is already falling apart?
My sc is a little to low, so I can't check it out for you.

Try to search other diagrams on the website you have found.

I'm not sure either from the photo but it does look like the RR Suspension Member Brace that bolts to Front Floor Brace towards the front of car. If you can get under and remove it, the part number are usually, almost always, stamped onto the piece.

I finally used the jack and I got another picture, maybe it will help. I was able to bend the plastic down to get the pic. Its only held on by 2 bolts
