I did a search and found a way to disable the headlight washer when the lights are on for an IS but the pictures don't match the 06 fuse box so I didn't want to poke around. Anybody know how to disable the HL washer when the lights are on and the wind shield washer is used? Stupid feature if you ask me.

 

I don't know the answer to your question, but why would you want to go to the effort of disabling it? Why not just not use it?

Mine only works when I press the HL washer button (I have an '02). The windshield washers don't affect it. Do yours spray when the windshield washers are running?

 

The way the 06 is, when the head lights are on, if you use the wind shield washer the head light washer works also. If the lights are off, the head light washer does not work when you use the wind shield washer. I want it to work only when I press the HL washer button, not when I use the wind shield washer.

 

'02s also function this way.... if the lights are on, the windshield washer button will also spray the headlights.

 

My '02 doesn't run the headlight washers when the windshield washer button is pressed. It only runs the headlight washers when the headlight washer button is pressed when the lights are on. (I just went and double checked.)

 

That's strange.... I also have an '02 and mine does spritz the headlights (just once) when I hit the windshield washer w/the lights on

 

Must be another setting somewhere. I looked through the C-Best settings and didn't see anything related to the headlight washer, so maybe there is another programmable items list. (I don't think that there is a button setting for it either.)

 

It seems like a hassle to disable something that doesn't seem to effect much. Why mess around with something that isn't broken.

 

Oops. I forgot to turn on my headlights during the test. (Dooh!) I tried it again (this time with the headlights actually on!) and my '02 does run the headlight washers in that scenario also. Sorry for the confusion.
