Default Convertible Top

Is there a way, besides LuxLink, to put the convertible top down from the keyless entry, not as concerned with they keyless start, but really want to put the top down.

also any input from those who have LuxLink what are your thoughts, is it worth it?

No.
Absolutely. Having the top go down as you approach the car, or go up as you walk away, is way cool. I never use the remote start.

Ditto
The luxlink when it was all said and done cost me $650.00 installed with the rear 1/4 mod. I had help with the install and did the 1/4 window mod myself . I know that the 1/4 win unit supplied was a rebranded generic, but steve from Luxlink told me that that If I wanted the 1/4 window mod I had to tell him at the time I bought the luxlink. He said he had to program the main lux link unit so that the 1/4 window mod would work. I am not really sure what he did . The unit shipped to me worked fine after I installed the 1/4 window mod. I use the remotes start all the time and the top as well. The 1/4 windows
are way cool to.

I love my luxlink. Many advantages...
-Dont have to HOLD button down-touch twice and it goes without holding
-top goes down while walking toward car with remote
-top goes up as you walk away with remote
-put key in door and turn-top goes up or down
-This car looks AWESOME with rear windows down
-Never use remote start-but it works!

I bought my SC 430 in June 08 and Steve installed a month later--He never said that I could not add rear windows and chose not to for the money--Changed my mind in December and am very happy I did it--Love it!

GREAT MODS!!!!!

Yeah, I agree with those above...the LuxLink is a must-have.

The Remote-start is kind of a "meh" feature, considering the limited range of the factory remote.

But, being able to make the top go up or down via the factory fob makes it worth it.

The double-tap to open/close the top using the dash button is simply how the car SHOULD have come from the factory. I understand safety and all but, it's just ridiculous to have to hold that button the WHOLE time. Can't I just sign a piece of paper attesting to the fact that I have an IQ over 75 and I WON'T stick my hand in the trunk while the top is going down?

I LOVE double-tapping to make the top go up then, as soon as the cycle starts, taking the key out, getting out, locking the doors, and walking away...all while the top is still going through the process of closing...the LuxLink even holds the ignition on while it's doing this. Once the top is up, it rolls up the windows and shuts off the ignition. But, I'm already inside by that point!

Makes the chicks hot!!!

I live in NC so Steve in CA is not possible. Question, is LuxLink a module that is plug in or is it a "mechanical" install. I really am not interested in doing the install myself. Question, will a dealer be able to do it, will they, and will it void the waranty? Thanks

It connect to the wiring already in place, put you have to do some cutting and soldering, I called the dealers around here because I just would rather have them do it, but none of them had any idea what I was talking about, if you go to any type of audio shop they will probably be able to do it, but they are most likely just going to follow the detailed instructions that luxury motorworks provides.
