I am wondering which used model of SC430 i should get with these requirements?

1. bluetooth for my phone, so that i could make phone calls using voice recognition. It seems like only 2006+ model has bluetooth integrated??

2. still has warranty.. I believe the maximum number of years is 7 years (4 basic + 3 years extended) After that i will need to get it from 3rd party like warrantydirect.com?

Based on my readings from various post, it seems like 2005 should be the model i need to get. Am I right?

 

Yes you will need a 2006+ for bluetooth

 

The 2005 sc430 also has factory oem Bluetooth. The trans is the older 5 speed the 2006
is the six speed

 

You can also install a Parrot system. Works pretty good. Not as well integrated as OEM though the OEM system is not the greatest either.

 

Thanks for the updates. I will be aiming for integrated bluetooth, so looks like Parrot system will not work for me. I also tried to verify the 2005 model and i can't find anything on integrated bluetooth. Maybe it is the latter make but 2006 for sure has it.

Last year I picked up a 2002 SC-430 that was in immaculate condition. I installed the Parrot Bluetooth and it works very well. In negotiating with the dealer, which took most of my time, I got a 3 year / 100,000 mile LEXUS warranty. The car had 62,000 miles.
Bottom line: I got it at a terrific price. It had been on the lot for a little over an hour.

 

If you search on this forum, you will find posts to a web page that a member has created which has all or almost all of the Lexus brochures for the SC and for other Lexus models. By going through the brochures for the 05 and 06 and 07 models, you can see where the changes in bluetooth and transmissions, etc. were made, and you will know what features you are getting in any given model year.

 

I have a 2005 and it has OEM integrated bluetooth that works reasonably well. happy with the set up.
