I did what you recomaned, it works. ThanksLook in the trunk of the car, towards the back there is a cover (looks like a cargo cover)
reach towards the back of the trunk and grab that handle and extend it all the way until you fit it into the groovs.
then once you have placed thhe cover into the approperiate groovs,
close the trunk,
get in the car and try the button.

Hard top won't open
It's just worked once and won't open again. Look in the trunk of the car, towards the back there is a cover (looks like a cargo cover)
reach towards the back of the trunk and grab that handle and extend it all the way until you fit it into the groovs.
then once you have placed thhe cover into the approperiate groovs,
close the trunk,
get in the car and try the button.

A response from that person may not happen because you are responding to a thread that is seven years old.
It may be possible that the switch, in the trunk of the car, where you place the slide out cargo cover is not operating properly.
Reseat the slide out cargo cover a couple of times and try the top again.
Make sure the trunk lid is closed all the way.
