I believe the last set went for $150 or less here on CL.
Some Ebayers are selling those for $49.99 per side. The old ECU is probably worthless since there is basically no demand for it.

I agree. by switching them out, you've 'lowered' the trade-in value and unlikely to be able to sell direct for a premium. Your best option is if/when you get rid of the car to swap things back out and sell the 'new' set.
Personally I'd just toss the old set and be done with it - not enough value gained/loss to worry about. But I understand that eve if you get $100 for the new set later, it's still an extra $100.
