Default Dyno Testing Later Today... Any Suggestions

Does anyone have any suggested procedures or critical preperation instructions for acurate Dyno results? This shop (Aerocomp Dynamics) is very close to my home. Cost is around $75.00 if anyone local is interested. I will post the results tonight.

Not an easy car to dyno if your going for max numbers which I'm sure you are.
As Tony stated already. Keep in mind peaK TQ numbers are at 3300rpm so ensure he lays into it by 3k, BUT......not enough to down shift which means full HP/TQ is tough to come by. Also find out which dyno they are using as the results vary from dyno to dyno. Dynojet is the popular unit which most people can relate to the numbers.

Thanks T. That's what i had in mind. The ECU is in good shape, I have driven aggresively since the SRT install and reset... about 70 miles on it so far and she is responding nicely. What about the PWR button? Power on?

Does not make much different once you lay into it. Having it OFF may help prevent the downshift before finally flooring it so I would recommend off. Makes no difference in power.

SRT splices into the wiring harness to lock the torque convertor.

I'm sure the dyno operator has their own procedures that they follow for max readings. SRT dynos the Lexus' they work on in third gear with the torque convertor locked up. They tap into a wire controlling the lock up and touch the positive pole of the battery after a certain rpm.

Have fun today during your dyno run!

It means that when SRT does the dyno, they have a little ECU module that locks the torque converter and keeps it from causing spikes in your dyno reading. It's more important when you have a high-stall aftermarket TC which can give a big false spike reading in TQ early in the dyno run.

I've been to at least a half dozen dynos, SRT is the only one who knows Lexus tech stuff well enough to make this work.

Here's one SRT did of my car early on (I'm up about 25 hp from this one now), I'll try to find one done elsewhere for comparison.

EDIT - this one is from prior to FI, and it is on a Mustang dyno which without any adjustment reads significantly lower than a Dynojet BUT you get the idea of the torque spike I'm talking about

If he is using a Dynojet it will be really helpfull if they run a air/fuel reading some charge $10-15 more but you ca see how much leaner/richer. Get a copy of your dyno run computer file if using Dynojet.

No, it is preprogramed w/ richer parameters to compensate for their 31/2" intake tube. I have heard that if you were in Maryland you could go to their shop and thay could re-flash/re-programthe ECU for other things you've added.
