Pearlpower,
Since you've messed w/ the O2 sensors, Do you know if both front O2 sensors (pre-cat) are the same and if both after-cat O2's are the same? I was loking to buy a front O2 sensor in case they had problems when they installed my headers.
Lexus did not have any in stock @ $193 ouch , so I got a universal Bosch sensor. Ebay had a new one that I missed getting for $6

Lexus has a different part# for right and left and I when I checked the parts store for the bosch O2 sensor, they show the same # for the front right.and left. I think 1TYTESC used a passenger side O2 for the drivers side.
I was not sre if the OEM plug was different.

My guess is that the front O2's are 4wire pre-heated sensors and the rear are not? Is this correct.

The sensor portion is the same for the O2 sensors. Just the length which explains the different Lexus part numbers. I went ahead and just installed new Bosch units left and right since I was in there anyhow. I hate paying for the same real estate twice. You should be fine.

There is an easy way to bypass the the cat sensors. Mechanically and not electrically.

Lee, thanks for the info, I'm I correct that the front and rear O2's are different?

Hollywood, why would you want to bypass the O2 sensors??

The universal O2 sensors are the same front and rear. So a Bosch 15733 should work in any position on the car.

Just the ones for the cat check so you can delete the cats, u need the ones that fine tune the AF's in the headers.

Wouldn't that set off a CEL since it is an OBD II system?

Yes normally it would but there is a trick to do "mechanically" which is the best way to do it and you can delete the cats and stil run the sensors in the test pipe. PM me if you want to know how to do it.

This is an option, but has mixed reviews on longevity and cost. This is the electrical way of bypassing.

FYI
I found this site which gives the lenth of the O2 wire, well that is for the walker brand. Not sure if this is the same lenth for OEM O2's..
Pass. side O2 17", driver side 10" and after cat. 27"

Hey Lee, just ran into this thread and still cannot believe the amazing results you got with the headers install!

I had already decided to do this mod next year, but after reading your results, I want to do it now! Damn!

I have a freer flowing exhaust - bigger pipes (2.25 inch), eliminated all three resonators, added in an X-pipe, so I am hoping to get even better results with the headers!
