has anyone had any issues with the "newer" version of the headers? i actually have the new headers but im trying to get a feel for whether or not theyre going to bite me in the *** later. i dont really feel like having a crack runnin through my headers while driving far from home hahahah
i know that the o2 sensor being too short on one side of the car was an issue with the s&s headers. one of my buddies suggested a o2 simulator. does anyone know if that would work? i apologize if this has been discussed before, but this thread is huge.

I have not heard of a single issue with the newer versions at all. Or the older versions that have been welded properly. Normally once they start they start slowly with a small leak and grow after that.
On the O2 extension, like Tony says, extending them is no issue at all.

If you cut the wires and extend them by soldering longer wires, will that mess with the resistance in the wire??? or the reading of the O2 sensor??
JPI are you guys planning on making headers? Im deciding on buying some but the dreaded crack issue and the lack of a shop to install them has helpd me back. I can wait if you guys have designed something better which I prefer.
Well I have some great news. Here are some shot of the JPI headers for V8 application. I will have more info, pricing, dyno numbers etc.... Later during the week. Thank you.
