Can you scan or photograph those directions, please?

But did you try the steps?

have you looked at other YouTube videos? They may look a little different due to different Lexus/Toyota model, but may function the same...I know I could get a nav unit from a Prius and it will work in our car.

are the buttons the same...I mean the Bluetooth connection process should be fairly simple.

i did see where there was a list of phones your Bluetooth should work with...

anyway, just trying to help.

No I can't find any section that specially has Bluetooth. And the buttons are quite different then those in the video. The INFO option that they specify does not have any option for Bluetooth programming. I'm pretty tech savvy and I can't figure it out. Strange bc the software should have the same options but I can't find Bluetooth anywhere. I can however understand why it won't show up on the phone of I don't have the Bluetooth radio hardware but that doesn't explain why it won't show up in the software.

The BT module on 2005+ SC is probably located in the screen unit which is connected to the Nav in the trunk. In order for factory Bluetooth to work both BT module and microphone have to be there. If 2002-2004 SC don't have either of those its unlikely just replacing the NAV unit is going to do the trick. Apparently, the NAV is smart enough to know that both BT module in the screen unit and mic in the mirror assembly are missing, thus it doesn't show you BT options. Fortunately, you got your Grom working so most BT features are there.

Possibly. But what I'm saying is even if the hardware is missing, shouldn't the software (ie. the DVD program) still show the phone dialer and bluetooth setup page/options? It's like with a computer. Just b'c there isn't a printer attached to your computer, the printer settings options are still there bc it's built into the software. If there no printer connected you will get an error or an "unable to print" or "printing failed" dialog. A rudimentary example, but hopeful it illustrates my point that if phone/BT option is built into the software, then it should show up on the software regardless if hardware is missing.

The headunit (the Nav Screen) is where the menu software resides and I think BT module too. If you look at the 2005+ SC Nav user manual it contains two portions, one is the NAV functions and the other is the phone functions. Your trunk NAV only is needed for the Nav features; it has nothing to do the phone portion. So if 2002 SC the head unit does not contain any phone features it naturally would not have BT module inside. Hope that explains.

Default Bluetooth on an "07

Hope this helps-from my manual for an '07. "Navigation System Owner's Manual". Hope this helps. I feel your pain on this. Attached shows pages 134-149, may be more info than you wanted. It took me a while. Mike
