Default Cheapest price

Whats the cheapest I can buy an SC430? Either used or new. Has to have navigation though. I need this info quick becuase I am in the middle of a deal with a guy who wants to sell an sc430 and I am curious as to how cheap fellow members have bought them for.

I've seen $43K - 55K depending on year, mileage, and condition. Average is probably $49K.

ROMMI;

You can find an SC430 without NAV system if you look hard enough.

The NAV system was an option (I think the price was $2,000) when the car first went on sale in March of 01. About 90% (ast least) of the cars had the NAV system, which was made "standard" about a year later.

So there are a few 2002 models out there without a NAV system, so a buyer of a used model should be sure to check. Cars without the NAV system have a solid wood facia instead of the moving screen cover and also have an extra LCD window in the speedometer which shows compass point (eg: N, S, SW).

Look for a demo on the lot that the dealer is ready to get rid of. . Mileage-wise, they are almost new....usually 4000-5,000 miles, but they are used enough to have some depreciation on them, so to some extent you get the best of both worlds. Have the guys in the serevice shop look them over carefully, though....sometimes demos get hard use from customers doing test-drives.

Check on ebay for prices too. There was one listed there with a starting price of $39,900 and no reserve. I contacted them and they actually wanted like $43k. Shrug. 2002, 45k miles.

Use the advanced search in autotrader.com. You can specify the mileage, the maximum price and search for all areas. This would give you an idea whether there are any better deals out there.

I've seen them as low as $40K. Be patient and look EVERYWHERE.

I negotiated a 2002 for 39K with 44K miles in January 2004, the car had every option except chrome rims and was located in Houston. Was about to buy it till I found out my Insurance was gonna be $4800 a year for full coverage, I'm waiting another 6 months to a year to pay cash and just get liability for $1200 a year.

it was at:
