Default SC430 Runflat Sensor Compatible Rims

Does anyone have a list of compatible rims which work/or can be made to work with the tire pressure monitoring system on the SC430?

If no such list exists, maybe everyone can just list their rims and whether they work or not...

ummm, good thing, i think that would be useful for people. if this list goes long maybe we should make it a sticky.

i know hre will allow the sensors.

How about a Gallery of SC430 wheels along with a list as a sticky?

with the sensors banded around the wheel circumference with metal straps. Actually, any wheels should work with the sensors strapped to the wheels like that, just that HRE provide those straps for free.
I know many of the BBS wheels should work with the sensors at the valve stems just like they do with the stock wheels.

ummm, not really. for some reason most of the jdm wheels they will not work with the sensors as far as i know. i never spend time to study the sensors and how they work so i am not 100% sure

and wheels along the sticky? gosh that's going to be pretty confusing

Aren't the sensors going to work if they're positioned in such a way where they can be detected by the TPMS ? I don't see why they won't work if they're strapped around the circumference of any wheels the same way they're strapped on HRE wheels ?
I' ve seen corvettes with sensors strapped in a similar way too & it does work.

like i said i am not sure, but at least from what i learned from hre, the wheels have to be designed differently to allow the sensors. could be just the straps you talked about.

but at least in most of the jdm wheels i have looked at so far, if i get them, i get the warning lights.

I agree with amethy, any wheels SHOULD work given that you have an adaptor band to attach the actual sensor. HRE gives these out with their wheels when tell them you have a tire pressure system in your car. At first I didn't have adapter kit from HRE so my sensor would keep on falling out when I was driving on just the bands they gave me. They later made a lock-kit or somethign that would prevent the sensor from falling out and then I've never had a problem since. HRE states the 540R series will work with sensored cars but I would not be surprised if they could hack em up to most wheels in their lineup.

I would assume they would work with most wheels of similar construction but no one has really tried this so I guess no one can be certain.

Works the same way with the sensors banded on my 448R 's , & I' ve seen sensors banded in a similar way on other wheels on corvettes.

I can take a pic if you want when the time comes for me to change tires, but I believe I still have good tread on them now.
If you order a new set of HRE's for your SC430, then you'd get to see it first hand

So the sensor is attached to the rim with a band inside the rim? therefore in order to get the sensor you would have to take them outa your stock tires?
