Default Heated Seats Question ?

I have just purchased a 2004 SC430 which is "more" my wife's car than mine. She is coming from a MB SLK 320 that had heated seats (High and Low). We have noticed that the Lexus heated seats do not seem to get as warm as the MB. On 60 degree days it is great to have the heated seats on and the top down. Can anyone tell me if the heated seats are connected to the setting of the AC/Heater or a way to increase the heat ?

Thanks !

If this is a FAQ - please point me to the prior response.

The heated seats do not get anywhere near as warm as the seats in any German car I've driven. I'm afraid that's probably as warm as they're going to get.

I was afraid that was the answer. I was hoping that it was tied into the ac/heater somehow. The MB got really toasty on high.

If you turn the seat heater to the highest, it's more than warm enough even up here, although the winter in this part of Canada is not that bad.

In all of my BMWs and Audis over the years, the high seat heat settings are really TOO hot for me to even stand for long periods of times, unless it's really chilly out. But, I've never had anything like that in our SC or RX (or the Lexus cars that the rest of my family drives, for that matter). Maybe the Germans have some sick fascination with burning their backsides or something. God bless 'em.

the sc is not as hot as the MB. on high the MB was really too hot but it was great to heat the seat on high and then go to the low setting.

i need to get use to the "high" setting on the sc, it just seems a little weak.

thanks for the feedback
