Heated Seats question
Sorry if this is a duplicate question. I didn't see it covered in my search.
I noticed the heated seats in my '08 IS350 are kind of weak. It seems to be the same on both sides though, so I don't think it's a mechanical problem. However, I thought I'd check with everyone else and see what they think.
On the flip side, I have an RX350 loaner and I have to turn them down (from max) because they get too hot.
Thoughts?

Mine are pretty weak as well. The heated seats in my Chevy pickup can double as a skillet when on the highest setting.
One of the ladies at my office had a 1 ton Dodge pickup that the seats would actually start smoking with the heaters on. Dodge ended up buying the truck back after it nearly caught fire due to the seats.

I would say not weak, but certainly not as hot as some...our '07 RAV4 seats get hotter, as did my '00 328Ci...glad to hear I'm not the only one that thinks so - at least nothing is wrong.

Could depend on if you have the Semi Annaline leather or not. Just an idea. My seat warmers in my 2gen were not as hot as my G35. I had the semi-annaline. Maybe others can attest to this?

heated seats seem to have quite a range of setting. i have been in some where you can fry an egg. from what i bhave read seems like honda/toyota/nissan usually have pretty weak heaters, while chevy usually has very powerful ones.

Hmmm...my Honda on high was pretty good. Definitely hotter than the IS350, but not as hot as the RX350. The RX350 definitely puts out some serious heat.
Regardless, it sounds like it's not just me. I guess on the plus side my seats don't smoke :-)

+1. My Pilot, and my former TL, scorched my a$$ after 6-7 mins on high, but not the IS. I noticed this past winter (my second winter) the "3" setting seemed to be hotter than the prior winter, though. (still not as hot as the Honda).
