I used to shake my head when owners claimed to get 25-26 MPG in their cars. I was never even close to that number. Well, I had the bank 1 O2 sensor changed out after it threw a code and on my first long cruise yesterday I was at 25.7. City mileage is up too. Remarkable.

Forgive my “newbie-ness” but how many O2 sensors are there? And how long do they last?

I checked my SC’s records and it said O2 sensor was replaced in 2021 and in 2022.

Since we bought ours in July, we’ve been in the 25 mpg range with combine city/highway driving.

Thanks for this post as I’m now aware that if there’s a loss in mpg’s to have O2 sensor checked as a possible cause.

Correct me if I’m wrong. and yes, I can always google to get answers.

There are 4. Two upstream and two downstream. One on each side.
