Default Power steering fluid

Does the SC 430 require special fluid for the power steering? I generally use any ATF for the job on my other cars.

For my power steering fluid I use Valvoline DEX/MERC ATF in both the SC430 and GX470.

I used what I had for the tranny - Toyota T IV or equivalent - just refreshed the fluid in the reservoir via multiple extraction refills over a several week period through the summer. Though mine is a 2005 so 2006 onwards may have different requirements for the fluid.

Have a friend who lives in my complex with and SC430 and they use Mobil 1 ATF. Same as I used to use on my RX300. My CT does not require any fluid for power steering.

Don't know if he said that but if so he's wrong, read the TDS that fluid is for Honda.

Toyota Trans fluid works as recommended by Toyota. I have been using it for years.
