Through a Japanese associate, I will be gaining access to some soarer emblems (the Griffin). It appears that there are a few types. I need to sort out the details of these but it appears that there is an emblem for black cars? Black and gold, super white, silver, and gold. There are at least three types of griffin. I am going to get a few. If any one else is interested please let me know and I will try to get a few more. PM me and I will forward details as I find out more.

As far as I know, the xZZ3x Soarers came with the red griffin badge (red inserts with chrome surround)

I thought the only griffin for the zz3's was red center on silver or gold also, but apparently there are other types.

 

the "other" Griffins come from the older Soarers (JZZ10 and JZZ20) and the newer Soarer (SC430 or JZZ40)....so depending on the application, the emblem may or may not work for you...they are different sizes with different backings...the older ones don't look as nice is the JZZ30 ones or the JZZ40 ones...

Hope you don't mind me clearing things up a little here!

1981~1984 Soarer: MZ10
1985~1990 Soarer: MZ20/GZ20 (depending if the 1G-GTE or 7M-GTE engine fitted)
1991~2000 Soarer: JZZ30/JZZ31/UZZ30/UZZ31/UZZ32 (the best ones of all!)
2000+ Soarer: UZZ40

 

Yes, yes, yes...absolutely right...I was just being lazy on the MZ/GZ (I didn't feel like looking it up) and the UZZ40 I just mistyped (as I own a UZZ30 and UZS161)...thanks for the clarification!

 

I currently have 1 chrome and gold Saorer emblem to fit on a sc430 complete with grill attatchment. 120$ shipped. If interested. Still waiting on information for other emblems.
