Default outside temperture display

I have a 2005 sc 430. The temperture display on the dash has always worked perfectly. On vacation i went to a do it yourself car wash and used the pressurized sprayer to get the bugs off the lower front of the car. Since then it takes 30-45 minutes before the inside display reads correctly. Any suggestions on how to fix or replace and where it is. Thanks

...30-45 minutes before the display read correctly.
What exact does this mean? Before anything appears in the area of the LCD display where the outside temp is shown? Or before a reasonable temperate number is reached? Or something else? Are other portions of the LCD working properly?
A little clarification please.

the display works fine in all aspects. it displays the temperture on the display when starting the car. it gradually increases to the correct reading but it takes 30-45 minutes to reach the right number.

My 04 takes 20-30 minutes to adjust also.
