I know Auburn real well, good mountain roads like Hwy 49. Sonora pass road might be even less traffic. All Good
One Bad Black SC

Not performance related but more aesthetic will be added to improve the looks of the car when on the track or just parked at car meets. Not a fan of the oem lense with the vertical lines so i scored these!

I like that, especially line free, let us know how they work out
My lenses have been a pebble in my shoe for quite a while.
They are 30 yrs old and have a hard 300,000 miles on them
I could use those lenses

I had some time this weekend to put the diff back together and sealed it up. Then decided i can use an additional 1½ clearance on my quickjack lift, so i decided to go buy some wood and chopped them into size to make it happen. The SC is now lifted and ready for the diff swap. Hoping to complete it this coming weekend

It's a little filthy, a quick wash should clean it up

New toys

Great view

Ready for take off

Manual conversion coming soon... not sure how soon but i still need to source more parts before i start tearing into it. Picked up a 6spd gearbox that was from an 07 350z cd009/jk40. The seller even threw in the carbon fiber drive shaft (not sure if it will work for the sc chassis) i checked the vin and confirmed that the gearbox is indeed the revision and updated synchros.

Notice no clutch fork or external slave cylinder on 07 and up 350z gear boxes

Dropped the 3.26 out as well. The 3.92 will go in with tractionconcepts locking diff setup but the companion flanges needs to be swapped. The 3.92 flange hole distance is 3½" center to center and the 3.26 is 4". It was fairly easy to drop the diff but installing it might require a second person to manage the jack while someone guides it upward back onto the subframe.

Dude the combination of your differential gearing and the transmission should make a MASSIVE difference in the torque you’ll put down. I’m super excited to hear how it transforms your ride dude! Keep it going!!

manual swap is not going in yet. This is strictly the 3.92 with traction concepts locking diff conversion.

the 3.92 paired to the a650e definitely woke the car up a bit.

I’ve been toying with the idea of running these gears on an AA80E 8 speed from the F cars. Lots of shifting but the aggressive gearing would put down tons of torque. And cruising at 75 MPH would still be under 3,000 RPM.

Dude, I’ve had sway bars on my mind the past few days. You’re one of the few people who tracks their SC. Can you fill me in on what your basic suspension setup is now? Spring rates, sways, tires?

I’m interested to hear your opinion on the topic for those of us who aren’t brave enough to track the big girl

Thanks

Nick
