Body difference, suspension question
Hello guys!
I was looking for exterior updates for sc400 when i found out that some of them came with "oem body kit". Is it possible to swap them out with a non bodykit version? (98-02)
Also i am looking to change the suspension as well with kyb shocks, moog swaybars and bushings. I want to put a supra springs too. Do i need the supra shocks with it or does the kyb shocks(that designed for sc) enough? Or should i buy kyb shocks which designed to supra?

'92-96 is the non-body kit version, '97-00 has the body kit. (Early years also differ slightly in the front bumper.) The body kits can be swapped over to the earlier years, but they're not easy to come by and generally worth as much as the car.
Thank you!
I want to swap the other way around. Non kit to kit. I live in europe and not much cars are on sale, and usually 98+ sc400 are non kit versions. Only the sc300 are on kits.

If you are using Supra springs you must use Supra rear struts. The front struts are the same.
I would just order Supra front & rear struts as the valving maybe a little firmer than the SC.

That wording doesn't make sense. You don't put a non-kit on a later model... That would just be taking the kit off.
The only swapping to be done is putting a '97-00 body kit on an earlier year.
Unless Europe did it different than North America, all '97-00 have the body kit. The only difference body-wise between 300s and 400s over the years is the optional spoiler on 300s.

I think they done it differently. Sadly.
