Know why you guys get these 'great' deals on these hi mile SC's? See what it's worth when you have 150k-plus on it and you're ready to sell it. ZIP.....

This car sounds nice, i'd run a carfax, rack it, and seriously consider it, getting harder to find super clean ones.
Jon, seems like your fighting a few uphill battles here lately between this and the engine warm up thread I'm with ya though

Anyway, I have noticed values have dropped very fast lately. I bought my 93 5 speed with 88 k last year for 10,100. Now I would have to guess it is only worth 80% of that

You're so right, not sure why I bother, must be a masochist or something, but he doesn't realize i'm just trying to help ppl. Values for SC's really have gone down the toilet lately, makes me very unhappy, but I guess that falls under things that aren't in our control tg, still a great great coupe, and still my fav. Dx3, if that's the shallowest thing you ever read, well.......guess you don't do much reading . I'll tell you what's shallow, some kid who has five grand to spend on a car (plenty for something safe and reliable) and gets himself a hi-mile SC just so he can say he pimps a lex coupe . I'm not a snob in the least, when I couldn't afford to push a lex, I lived within my means, there's a learning curve in life and there's nothing wrong with a Corolla if that's what's appropriate, not meant as an insult, just a good heaping dose of reality. My point? If he likes that SC and it's real cherry, don't quibble over a grand or two if you intend on keeping it long term, you'll get plenty of return on that investment every time you pull it out of the driveway, you dig?
