ive swapped my wheel and airbag for a 2001(thats what enay said the year was) rx300 ive reset the light by touching the obd1 diag port 2 wires but then the airbag light comes back on. i code check the light. it gives code 12,Short In Airbag or explosive module Or Open In Front Sensor Circuit. what can i do

 

What year is your Sc 300 or 400.
When I was trying to make a switch, couple of great guys here gave me excellent advise:
Mine is sc300 95: any switching steering wheels has to be a wheel from 2000 or before.
Plus I had to keep my original cruise control. Did you switch the airbag connectors

 

I believe '01 is the usual cutoff for single-stage Lexus airbags, and Toyotas go through '05 or something. They'll definitely work with the sub-harness to adapt to the older 4-spoke SC steering wheels.
