Ok folks, my airbag light came on after I took the glove box out and put it back in... What does Code 54 for an airbag mean? Anyone out there with a manual?

 

i have alldatadiy.com subscription for my 95 sc400, so i guess that makes you lucky. if your talking about trouble code from the flashing engine light, 54 is knock sensor. So maybe your talking about something else.

 

Naw I connect terminals TC and E1 and the code I get is the airbag code... and the airbag light flashes 5 times then pause then 4, meaning code 54 on the airbag.

 

Probably help to know if you have an SC with pass airbag.

yep, sorry, i should have looked more carefully, i have the trouble codes for the airbag. 54 is an open detected in squib circuit. PM me if you want the detailed procedure.
