sorry to confuse everyone with snapping bolts. all that happens is the bolts in the kit were very poorly made and the ends where the nut is pulled off of the bolt. snapped two nuts off and bent two other bolts try to to hold the bolts with a pry bar to stop the motor from cranking. i also hit the balancer with my rubber mallet all around when i was trying to loosen it. i have almost gone as far as buying a prius so my sc300 can be my fun car

ok after taking a few days off work and not working on my car bc it just gave me a headache, i finally got a propane burner from work and will heat up the pulley by the crank today to try to get it off wish me luck. and if someone can tell me asap how long i should heat the pulley for. i plan on just doing it for 5 secs and if that doesnt work 5 more secs and so on i dont want to burn everything. or whatever seems reasonable for the heat have not seem how hot it gets.

The one time I had to heat something it was to get a pinion bearing off a pinion gear, it took a minute or two torching it.... It took enough best I figure it'd easily ruin the rubber that some balancer has. I'd use grade 8 bolts, an impact and spray it down the night before with PB blaster...

thanks i have grade 8 bolts not with nuts . and i sprayed it with pb blaster like 4-5 times now. and all the impact is doing is striping out the holes. thus why i got nuts for them. If i am not able to remove them today after i heat it up again, i am throwing in the towel and towing it to a shop. hopefully my aaa will help me with the towning 40 bucks for less than 20 miles or something.
Another thing that is pretty important but i keep forgetting about it when i am on the forums b.c the balanacer. the previous owners worked on the car and on the cams sprockets they wrote, "up" "left" on the left one and "up" "right" on the right sprocket.. i got the dot on both sprockets to line up with the tdc mark on the top, two little bumps with a dot in them. when i have everything on tdc the writing is upside down perfectly 180 with the current position of the sprockets on the cams. the marks on the balancer pulley where on the second line, i think it was yellow. i also took the timing belt off the top b.c my crank kept moving and i didnt want to crank the motor for a minute to get everything lined back up sense you cant go counter clockwise. lmk if i did something wrong b.c i would like to put it to its best position before i take the timing belt completely off. i will take pictures of the writiing and the position of everything.
