Very First 2 Door and its an 92' SC400!
Hey everyone, I just got my first Lexus and it just so happened to be an SC400. I'm still shocked on how I managed to get a super good deal on this car. Anyways, the main reason why I bought this is because I want a vehicle that will last me a long period of time; more like 5-10 years (probably until the wife tells me that we're having a baby...).
The purpose of my build is to have a reliable vehicle, rwd, comfy to daily, track ready, and also super fun. Pretty hard to get 'comfy' and 'track ready' in the same sentence haha...
What I will doing the vehicle is swapping out the motor old motor for a 2jzgte also getting in an R154 Transmission. These are the very first things I am doing to it.
Down below is what I have picked up for $750 CDN on craigslist.

Nice score as long as it's not too rusted out. First thing I'd do is get that bad boy running and hit up the tutorials for the basics like headlight cleaning, etc. Not exactly sure what valve dropping means. If you mean that the timing belt brokeor she jumped timing, thats an easy fix. Your motor is non interference, line things up, put on a new belt, tensioner, waterpump, etc. and you are good to go!

I'm planning on letting it sit at home so I can swap out the V8 for a 2jzgte. I work at BMW as a lot guy/detailer and cleaning it up won't be a huge issue.
On a side note, do you know a great place to find 2JZ's for import to Canada? w/ or w/o a tranny?

Im getting my 2jzgte from JDM Source. They are located in Alberta and have good rep on many sites.
