there is only a 10% chance the unit is internally corrupt, but there IS a chance. i feel it is somewhere within the contacts on the fuses. some fuses are double related so pull each one out one by one and make sure there is no corrosion. it also may help you by just doing that because there was a thread here a while back where someone had a contact problem with the fusebox and did the same thing and it worked fine thereafter.

Thanks, I went and checked all the fuses under the hood first and then i checked the ones on the kick panel and found that the cigerite lighter fuse had blown and that was what cause my A/C panel not to function. Tahnks buddy.

I had a similar problem a month or two ago and for me it was a really easy fix. Have you used your lighter plug for anything? Cell phone charger or AC converter? Check the kick panel fuse again for the cigerette lighter because the AC display and cig. lighter fuses are one so 90% chance its your fuse. After you check the fuses check them again, its pretty easy to pass up a bad fuse unless you look very closely sometimes. Also if you have something like a radar dector or anything connected to the lighter wire then check the wire too and make sure its not causing any problems
