Default Problems in my ECU


This is my sc300 year 1993 and have problems this car is idler and check my ECU and see this leak in capacitor but I'm ask what capacitor is this


Any help in this ask thanks CL members

Lats moments check in Craigslist in my area and see this guy have this sc300 same year the my car and this guy have this ECU and my cuestion is I can swapping my Bad ECU and don't have problems for put this ECU in my car

The ones that leak are usually brown. Mine didn't have any that purplish color. Makes me think someone already serviced yours but replaced it with a low quality capacitor. What color are the rest of them?

Thank for your reply my post now see my ECU and I see all capacitor purple is leak and have brown and this capacitor don't have leak what you think I can swap this ECU the guy sell

Sorry for my bad message my ask is I can swap this ECU for same years because have one guy sell one ECU same car and year you see the pics the sc300 this car in sell for part and this guy sell this ECU for $50 dollars but my asking is I can swap this ECU For my bad ECU and work in my car

Ok t2d2 in first pic is the car in sell is one sc300 year 1993 and the second pic is my car is one sc300 year 1993 what you think this ECU I can swap

If the part # on the ECUs are the same, you can definitely swap them. If they differ, you're probably okay since they're from the same model year and any revisions are probably minor. Keep in mind that all of these ECUs are likely to have capacitor leakage at this point, so you may be buying another problematic one unless it has already been serviced.
