Check the bolts that hold the glass together. Pull the interior peices parellel to the doors and check the three bolts and shims on either side.

Thanks for replying. All bolts and screws are snug. When pushing the glass up I can see the track itself move up and down at the sliding areas. The sunroof mount itself is tight.

Mine had the same exact problem on the driver side. I could see the area that had play so I just glued 2 washers to raise the loose part above the track a little more and it helped with the rattling. I still have wind noise though.

I wonder if there were factory like bump stops under there to prevent this and over time they just wore out or disconnected. I'm going to remove the glass today and inspect. Also going to address the wind noise by adding double sided tape between the glass and weather stripping, in hopes to lessen the gap between the sunroof and body (as another member mentioned earlier).

I think it's probably just a bad design or the bolt tolerance isn't the same anymore. Mine only had the problem on the driver side and I still had the problem even after removing the glass and playing with the shims. If you figure something out other than wedging washers in there to tighten the gap, please share!

Yes will do gladly. Did you only feel play from the front DS of the glass only? Because I have play at all 4 corners of glass. Going to remove in 1hr.

Yup mine was only on the driver side in the front corner. It was the mechanism that extends when the glass is tilted. I looked for an hour to see if there was some way I could tighten the pressed in bolt but no luck. The service manual only explains how to adjust the whole glass assembly.

That's exactly where I ended up. Hopefully removing the glass can tell more. Just by looking at the track when I push on the glass I'm almost positive it's a track issue. Getting lunch then gonna remove the glass

No luck removed the glass and got a closer look at loose areas. Looks to have to do with sliding parts. Couldn't find any screw to tighten sliding parts up
