My New Look! *PIX*
When they are fully restored, they look pretty clear, IMO. I'm sure it's possible to successfully sand down the grooves, and polish up the covers (given the right tools). Also relevant is the fact that the Ferrari headlights have a clearcoat that makes them more pronounced. The black color probably has an effect too. Now I'm intrigued as to what Sandstone Beige w/ clearcoat would look like on my car...
chrono: I don't recall my car coming with silver trim around the windows.
lex400sc: I'm going to get the correct tools and do it right this time. I did this job quickly because I was too excited!! Plus, I was working on a time schedule.
The next job is going to be nicer!

No offense to your ride or to others commenting on it but when I saw this improvement car subtitle I thought
cool, I will see a classy sc. Wrongo! Not sure what you guys are seeing but that just looks ridiculous and
ghetto for an sc to me. Just looks cheap to me and mismatched. Not what I would like to see in a Lexus.

Ive always thought tony's mods were good, the only thing I noticed in the pictures was the Soarer Lion a little too far up the nose. I am not sure where it is suppose to go, but??? Is it just me or is it a little high. Looks great with it off. I don't know how your car is ghetto at all...???
Maybe you are thinking of this car

I think the blacked out housings go along with the black painted wheel look. It is a taste issue. I was considering painting my lights the color of the car too.

tony, did you use any kind of high temp paint in the housings? will a clearcoat be able to stand the heat inside of the housing? i have silverstar 9005 halogens in my low beams and im not sure if i could do the same thing as you (i want pearl white tho
) since you have HID's. btw, whats the easiest way to go about removing the headlights from the car? ive never done it; ive noticed two clips on the top of them, do i need to unscrew anything from underneath the bumper or anything?
