Stall Converter Speed

Anyone know what is the stock 1st Gen. SC400 converter stall speed? I know that there are after market converter avialable, anyone know what the stall speed avialable?

I am doing some research on my future SC400 Single turbo. The turbo recommended to my by Precision Turbo said that T72 Q-Trim would required a stall speed of 3600 and its good for around 850 rwhp.

3600 stall seems a bit high for a compression enhanced engine. I would have the converter adjusted to 3200 as a max. At 3600, you'll just loose traction all the time. May look cool at first, but isn't. You'll want to find out when your boost kicks in, and make sure the converter is locked before that. Just my .02 cents.

The Precision Industries TC is adjustable once, from what I've been told from SRT. Bring it in to any certified install shop and they can change it for you. Contact PI direclty to get a list of shops.
Lextreme: T72 @850rwhp.... at what pressure ratio?? Roughly 90 lb/min at over 28psi, and you're running at low efficiency on the edge of that compressor... maybe better to go to T78 or 88 if you're shooting for rwhp that high?? What RPM you think the 72 will produce decent boost?
According to Precision Turbo, the T72 Q-Trim will need a stall speed of 3600 rpm. I assume the turbo will not make much power until 3600 rpm. This is not good for street use. Its great for drag. For street use, smaller turbo like T-60 will be great.

Looks like with the right turbine housing it could produce lots of boost down low.. top end isn't all that great though - maybe the larger 42 or the GT45.... good cheap ball bearing turbos !
