Default tail light issues

Hey, 93 lexus sc300
so I got pulled over this morning because my running lights (aka the lights in the tail light that light up when you have your headlights on.
Checked the fuses, they are fine.
Relay looks good
and I highly doubt both bulbs burned out at the same time.

When I went to check the bulbs, there are 3 bulbs that look that they might be for the running lights. How do I know which bulb is for the running lights (so I can check them)

Also, is there some way just to wire the bulbs up to a 12v source and bypass any switches that control the power feed to them?
Its cold up here in ohio, and im working a lot so I don't have hours to dedicate searching wires to try to find a break or anything

Did you check the fuse by eye or with a multimeter? If it isnt the fuse, check the bulbs (checking all of them wont hurt) and if it isnt the bulbs it's the wires. As for bypass... I dont recommend that. Also check for bad grounds... they tend to cause all sorts of issues.

checked the fuse with a multimeter. it read good
and I just don have time to find a bad ground with my DD being up in the air having to do a bunch of suspension work (I have been waiting on ball joints for over a week now...)
so where are the taillights grounded too?

And I know its not recommended but its only until I get my DD back up and going. Hopefully this weekend...
