Have you tried cleaning the maf sensor or checking to see all the vac lines are hooked up? IS your CEL on? What codes are you having?

Also, check out the ECU and fuel pump ECU. Try the 12 v mod.

12v mod, fuel filter, vacuum leaks, clean maf, seafoam car if desired (would help with dirty injectors). Does the car idle smooth at the correct range? Test another MAF? Check for broken wires/plugs/clips/etc.

Do the 12v mod for the fuel pump ecu, or replace it.

My 1993 LS 400 was doing the same thing. It would run fine if you eased in on the accelerator but would hesitate and die if you stepped on it. I did the 12v mod and no change. A remanufactured ECU fixed my problem.
I would check the ECU.
Good luck!
