your car would have to be prewired for it otherwise it'll never happen, if you buy used seats from another sc that has the heated seat option, you can run wires to an aftermarket switch that will heat the seats but as far is imposing it as 'stock' your talking alot of work.

I have never tried it but the switch is on the shifter bezel, so if you got heated seats, and a shifter bezel from an SC with heated seats, and then figured out how to wire it all up it would work.

What might make it really easy is if the wiring is already there but just not used. I know toyota does this with the cell phone as all SC's have the plug and wiring for the phone, it just wont be plugged in if you didn't get the phone (obviously how can you plug it in if you dont have it).
If the wiring isn't there it can't be that hard to wire them up but will be more than simply plugging them in, but you can still use the factory switches if you get the bezel, they are just switches after all.

I would go out and look but my sc has heated seats already so that wont really help you, but check on yours you just pop up the shifter bezel and on automatics the plugs may be hanging out in front of the shifter closer to the dash, on manual trans it would be behind the shifter closer to the cup holder.

I know on my 92 sc300 they are not already there but then again I am not sure f\if this is different between the years. I am trying to do the same thing now but I want to incorporate an aftermarket unit with a massaging unit. Still working out the kinks so nothing yet.

The plugs are probably there by the shifter, just needs a little wiring.

Not to hijack this thread but;
Does anyone know if one could unplug the seat bottom heater and use just the seat back heater?
Thanks in advance

My butt is plenty warm when sitting in the car. The seat heat feels good on my back. Ideally I would like cooling on my butt and heat on my back. Same reason they make cooled seats.

just a guess but sounds like that will work. havn't looked into the seat harness yet but if it has seperate connectors in the seat then unplugging the bottom one should do what what you want.
