Default replacing front brake rotors with?

I need new front rotors.

I see Napa premium and Autozone Duralast, they are similar price (about $40 each)
Thinking of the autozone because it gets free shipping.

Is the front rotor is straight forward job, you don't have to remove the axle nut / wheel bearing anything like that right?

Also would like to know the torque for the caliper bracket and caliper pins if anyone have these numbers.

I read that Brembo blanks from tire rack are just a few bucks more at $55?
And front rotor, when your caliper is off just bump it out.

There is powerstop drilled/slotted for a bit more ($140 per pair) is it worth it?

I don't really feel that drilled and slotted are worth it, if you want better braking power invest in grippier pads. Or buy the LS400 BBK

You'll need to run a 15mm spacer, as much as I want to run mine I'd much rather have 97 skirts instead so mine are for sale,

Factory wheels are 16" unless you're in a 92-94 SC300, then they're 15" and won't clear the LS brakes even with a spacer, need at least 16" or more.

You guys have done this job before, can I just remove the whole brake caliper by undoing the bracket itself (with pads, caliper and everything as one piece?)

I will have to push the pads back a bit.. to fit the new rotor, but I don't really want to remove the caliper pins if it is not needed.

Yeah you can, you will need to recompress te pistons again though to fit the caliper back over the new rotor.

That's a lot more work than necessary, just remove both the upper and lower bolts that hold the sliding caliper to the pins and slide it off. The pins themselves will stay in the bracket. Though it would also be a good time to make sure that none of the pins are seized as well. They have a tendency to dry out and seize over time. Make sure you use good moly type grease if you do need to regrease it.

You should put anti-seize on the pins anyways, as well as on the brake hardware where they meet the pads.
