Added some new Sparco touches to the car........if you ask why "cuz racecar"

I will show more detailed pics when I get both of them installed and document the process. But for right now it is just mocked up.

 

Went into the dash and heater core last night....wasnt really to bad....Going to start on clearing out the wiring with stuff I dont need anyway.





Heater Core is gone.....Need to come up with something to block off the 2 holes left in the firewall from it.

Officially placed order today for Tremec t56 Magnum and shifter relocation. I opted to go with American Powertrain for the order.

Only part is the transmission is on backorder....and they will not be arriving for shipment until end of February or Early March.....

 

In the meantime while waiting for the transmission I did finalize my toe strap design on the front bumper. Decided to add the round bezel for a much cleaner look than just cutting a hole in bumper.

 

Very nice!! I recently finished my 2jz with a T56 swap. I like the direction your car is heading in.

Just awaiting for new order of transmission to come in from Tremec.

I have a few other things up my sleave for the interior....but yinz will have to wait.

 

Update: transmission should be shipped out at end of this week. Cant wait to get the tremec installed and get the car back on the road.

 

Old video from a few years ago....this was shot about 30 min before the w58 grenaded. Good times Dmitry, had quite a bit of fun when you lived in Ohio.

Finished off a few items from the "to do" list over this past week.

Since removal of the heater core it left the exposed holes in the firewall that needed to be covered. I ended up using the original pieces as a template and fabricated some new pieces out of aluminum and attached them using seam sealer.






I wanted to re-purpose the center vent trim to fit my gauges in and here is the design I came up with. Also shaved the passenger side vent as well. I reused my existing innovate air/fuel and boost gauges and added water temp/voltage and oil press gauge. All gauges are innovate motorsports.

 

So this will be a full-on race car now? No heat or A/C?
