Decided to take car of some maintenance items first...Valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, new denso iridium spark plugs, NGK plug wires, new cap and rotor...While had the engine apart figured I could do a little engine cleanup and dress up. Painted various engine parts with VHT High Temp Paint...Overall I am very pleased with the turnout..

Interior gutted out...man that carpet was nasty from all the years of drinks being spilled, etc.

Thanks....Ready to get the motor so I can start degreasing the engine bay out and replacing the steering rack bushings, replace fuel filter, and other maintenance related tasks while saving up for the 2jzgte which will be bought in feb/march or 2014. A lot of things to do on the car until that times come. I am going to be taking my time with the restoration on the car and doing it the right way. I have no desire to rush the build as my original intentions was to be a project for me.

I know how you feel man. Check out my build trend in my signature. I saved up for three years so I could go na-t. Worth the wait too. I should have it back this week so I can take it to the texas mile to watch my friend run his na-t sc300

While I have some down time on the car until I have enough for 2jzgte....Figured it would be a good time to tackle some of the interior while I wait.....All of these parts I used SEM Landau Black on. Turned out really well. I am going for two tone, but I will be leaving the dash and upper trim panels factory brown.

I am going to redoing the wood trim panels, new black vinyl on doors, and getting ready to dye my carpet black as well..

looks great!! If you need to do your rack bushings now is the easiest it will ever be to do it and may want to hit the bottom of the brake booster with some paint. everything else looks nice, including the GE that looks like its in time out =)

Thanks Ali, I will be painting a lot of parts in the bar to make them look new....I will have plenty of time these next few months....I plan on replacing all the bushing on the entire car with poly ones, Right now my focus is on getting the interior finished up, waiting on vinyl to cover up the wood trim. I am also about a week or so away from getting in my black vinyl to redo the door panels and rear lower trim quarter panels.

Next on my list after the interior will be replacing steering rack bushings, upper and lower control arm bushings, front and rear and sway bar bushings front and rear.

I am beginning to accumulate parts for the GTE swap....I will be using a competition clutch 1620 with the W58 for the time being hopefully it will last a year with the GTE mated up to it.

Stay Tuned for my pics as the SC progresses over the next few months!!!!
