Do you have any friends that can let you borrow or swap a MAF sensor for a day?

Seems to me it'd be the MAF, but can't be sure. CEL?

moved to maintenance section, please post in the proper sub forum.

could be maf or some say any of the sensor the ecu uses in closed loop. o2 sensors could even be suspect if they have never been changed in a very very long time.

read this thread.

My car did the same thing... Tried a different maf and it didn't fix it... Had a spare ecu laying around and swapped it out, cel hasn't come back on and car runs great.

I don't think it's my ecu, because to get the car running, that was the first thing we replaced

First I'd double check that the MAF is properly seated. If it isn't properly seated in the hole and is even at a slight angle it can do that. My car had the same random loping idle. I run with the MAF unplugged for several months, and finally realized it was such a simple fix!

Code 13 is RPM signal. Code 31 is the AFM. RPM signal could be the ECU...
