Default TEIN coilover question

OK, i am looking to buy the TEIN HA coilover system for the SC. I know that the SC and supra suspension are the same. So my question is,

Do i need to buy the pillow ball mounts?

http://www.suprastore.com/teincoilovers.html

Here is a link to a TEIN seller with the pillow mounts on the same page. so are they saying that i need to buy anything else?

ANYONE with the TEIN system please help me here because i need advice on if i need to buy anything else with this system?

THANKS

Kevin

if you purchase the pillowball mounts separately, wouldn't it be the same price as getting the tein CS? the tein CS is way more comfortable. that's what i have.

what are the differences between the HA and the CS? advantages and disadvantages?

what does the CS come with etc, etc, etc, all the details.

well... i'm no expert but from what i know so far, the HA is the older model and since the Flex came out, they're actually phasing that series out. the HA supposedly rusts by the mounts, but i cannot confirm that.

the CS comes with everything, pillowball mounts and such. It won't lower it as much as the HA though, but since you have a kit on your car, it wouldn't matter as much. if you go to www.tein.com they will tell you the different spring rates for each damper they carry. the CS will give you a better ride than the HA.

how low is low on the CS as compared to the HA? how low can you put your SC?

and its supposed to be a better ride? is it still a little bouncy or what?

AND i see that the EDFC is compatable with the CS and none of the other models. maybe ill get the CS's now... hm.... decisions

this is what im looking for here folks...

-I dont care for a bumpy ride, i dont mind it.
-I want something that i can slam my car to the ground.
-I want something compatable with the TEIN EDFC
-I want one that is good, but inexpensive

Well thats what i want, which one fits that the best?

http://www.wholehyper.com/coils.html
(click on the TEIN link to see the coilovers)
(no this is not the site im buying from, just reference)

i like the idea of the EDFC also, but your only options are tein flex and the CS. I don't think anything else will be compatible.

anything from tein is excellent. the HA is really really affordable, but not compatible with the EDFC. I don't know the exact measurements on how low you can go, but since you have a body kit, any of the teins will work great for you. If you dont' mind harshness, just get the HA and adjust the stiffness by hand.

nah, it should be fine. otherwise, then tein wouldn't sell them right?

seriously though, it should be alright. i think the pillowball mounts are just to make the springs quieter when they compress. a LOT of the GS guys are using the HA and they haven't had any problems for years!

Coupe - I was going to answers some questions but let Tein do it. Go to www.tein.com I think you'll find everything there. I got the CS with pillowball, just my choice. Check out the EDFC!

Default I have the HAs

They don't work w/the remote EDFC.
They are a harsh ride, but handle better than bimmers.
They don't need the pillow mount.
AND they don't rust.

How harsh are you saying they are? Is it like a shopping cart on a textured surface kind of harsh?
