Do any of you know what the difference is between the water pump tensioner and an idler bearing? I ordered the tensioner, but not the idler bearing. Should I also order this?
The idler bearing is what leans against your timing belt to keep it tensioned(by the timing belt tensioner).
Our cars do not have a water pump tensioner. Although, there is a serpentine belt tensioner...which actually keep tension on the serpentine belt which also runs your water pump..
