Crashed my car switching lanes in the rain going 55. I did two 360s and proceeded into a ditch off the freeway taking out some small trees and bushes and finishing with a 180 turn.
I know the feeling.... the same thing happened to me. These cars are too heavy, so once they start to slide..... physics takes over. From what I have heard, this is a common issue with our SC's.
Took out my drivers door. What a mess. I now use wider tires (245 50), and that helps.... a little.
My Porsche is much more forgiving when it starts to slip, but is is designed to be that way.
i did the same thing, not as fast, i was going 45, but it sucks, the damage on my car was pretty bad, yours look a little better. but i know the feeling
Actually, narrower tires will be better in the rain, as there is less water to tred. Try gettin 205's or something, aquatred's are real good in the rain, best I've expierenced at least. But everyone's right, SC's suck in any type of whether, but when it's nice out, reminds me why I bought one
Im sorry to hear about the damage Deceptik, hopefully the insurance will kick in, what do we pay those rates for anyway. Glad to see that you werent hurt under the circumstances/conditions.

What??? You're crazy man, my SC is the ONLY thing I would drive in the rain, nothing Ive ever ridden in even compares to the handling and ease of driving in an SC in the rain. If you want tough, try an Expedition or Suburban in the rain in Atlanta or the mountains, now that....well....thats just luck.

I don't do SUV's, station wagons, or family cars (except when I was young and poor... I am almost 50 now). All I will own are sports cars, and the SC is not the best I have dealt with in bad weather. Just look at the weight of this car. Again, simple physics. It is one of the most comfortable, but definetly not the best handler.... That's MY experience, individual results may vary...
