Default Broken Tripod... R154

Anybody ever broke their's before? After a few runs with some buddies a few weeks ago, my shifter started feeling funny. Looked underneath the car and sure enough my tripod snapped completely on one side towards the top.

This ever happen to anybody else?
I just did the solid tripod bushing two weeks prior to this.

i've replaced my bushings with solid units on my W58 tripod shifter, hasn't broken on me yet. Did you replace the top bushings too or just the ones on the side?

I replaced the top set with OEM ones, and the bottom set I replaced with the bottom ones.

yeah I haven't heard of that before, but it sounds like you need another tripod, or take it off and get it welded up with some reinforcements.

Probably had a street crack on it, or had something cocked but anyways that sucks on a tripod shifter
