Default work in progess part 4

man look at everything i had to take out just to get the windows out to get a cleaner paint job... If i ever had to paint another Lexus I would pay someone to do it, its really hard work+ Toyota covers everything so more has to be taken apart. Good build quality though...

Is everything attached from the inside (screwed)? No clips? Is that why you took your whole car's inside apart? lol

I was thinking of doing a color change, now im having doubts

mostly clips.... if you thinking about a color change and want a clean job you gotta take teh windows out, take the bumpers off, hood, trunk.

Doing it yourself lets you learn your car but to me very tireing when somethign is hard to take apart. Although I save about 2000$ on my paint job helping out doing it myself, I would never do it again...

Thumbs up Worth the effort!

Looking good! Last time I did something like this, is when my buddy and I both stripped our 78' Toyota Celicas, from the engine compartment down to the interior. Just to paint our cars to match one another
Just remember how it all goes back together!
Good luck. Looking forward to the finish product.

Is all the trim held on with clips? Do you have to take off all the glass including the windshield?

I had some window ppl coem out to take the glass out , only took out the rear and the 2 sides, they said the front one they couldnt guarentte it would not break if they tried . I was like ok nvm leave in there. they wouldnt even touch the windows till I took all the crap in the back seat out.

most things in the inside are held by clips becareful not to break them. All you need to really take teh car apart is 8-10-12-14mm sockets, panel popper and screw driver. Take your time and label everything so you can put it back where it belonged.
