Default Highest gear ratio?

So for my 92 SC I am looking for the highest gear ratio possible. The car is going to be a Bonneville car and the record is 224. I can (and probably should) swap in a 9 in rear end but don't want to do the live axle thing. Does anyone know if there is a taller gear than the mkiv manual TT set up? (3:13 or 3:17 or something like that)

For the 220mm TT 6-speed diff you should only have 3.133:1 as the lowest. There were other 220mm ratios offered in other markets but that should be the lowest.

For the more common 200mm rear diff I believe 3.266:1 is the lowest.

If there were other, lower ratios I am not aware of them as far as the US market cars are concerned.

3.26 JDM ring & pinion will take you to 250MPH if you are a 6 speed in 5th gear at 9.5k-10k RPM's...

What Trans are you going to run?
