Default Help please?!

Im looking at a 1996 SC300 with a original 5spd Manual Transmission, it has 135,xxx miles and clearcoat peeling off the driver side fender and rips in the driver seat. The guy is asking 6,200 OBO and KBB says (in its condition) its worth more around 5G's. Of course, I dont think KBB takes production numbers into account so whats a reasonable offer in your guys' opinion. Thanks!

Passenger is good, Driver has a deep rip, back seats are like most SC's: used seldomly lol could use a cleaning and detailing I think tho. And window trim is good.

Kbb has actually priced it pretty decent but it could be worth even less if it has other issues. 6k is way too much if it needs paintowork and new seat leathers, and for a little more you could have a 97 with the updated body.

Maybe more around 4.5k? Be a cheapskate. If he says no, keep moving.

Mine was a 94' with almost the same miles and problems but clear coat peeling on the rear instead due to a shady respray. I only paid 5000 which was reasonable in my eyes. So 6,200 seems to be a little steep considering around 7000 will get you a 97, certainly no 5 speed, but a 97 nonetheless.

EDIT: its a 2000 with 92K! 0_0

Go for the 2000. Perforated leather, less common problems, vvti, ...etc.

That price is a little to high in my opinion. $5,000 or less would be a decent price.
